LGA Facilitator, Education

Job Summary

Our Client will be starting interventions in January 2024 in 12 LGAs in Borno & Yobe states under the new ECW-MYRP2. We do not have LGA Education facilitators in 6 of the LGAs. A provision has been made under the Monitoring budget line to recruit 3 LGA Education Facilitators to support implementation in the LGAs. Two (2) LGAs will recruited for Yobe and 1 for Borno State.

Job Details

The main responsibilities and key assignments for this facilitator will include the following:

•Monitor activities implemented by partners at schools and LGAs
•Support teachers with school level mentoring
•Monitor supplies distribution and utilization across schools
•Report Education Specialist/Officer on the progress and challenges
•Support effective community engagement for enhance school-community relationship

•Ensure active involvement of parents and SBMC members in school management

•Serve as liaison officers between UNICEF and Government
•Support school enrolment drive campaigns at bot State and LGA levels

DELIVERABLES:
1. Monthly workplan upload/submission
2. School/classroom monitoring/observation
3. Monthly/quarterly report uploading/submission
4. Monthly meeting with SUBEB/LGEA officials (at least once in a month)
5. School level mentoring of teachers (at least 2times in a week)
6. Community awareness and advocates for school enrollment and attendance (at least 3times in a month)

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

Minimum of 1st Degree in Education related courses

Hausa, Kanuri, English,

Minimum of 5 years working experience in education programming
